today is the day

Do one thing every day that scares you
— Eleanor Roosevelt

Well Eleanor, today is that day for me. Day one of a whole new world. I'm feeling pretty good. Ok, that's a lie, I mean not exactly a lie but my stomach is full of butterflies and my palms are sweating which is kind of gross when you are typing and my heart is beating at such an intense rate you would think I was exercising. I am not.

You see, today I am putting myself out there. Today I decided, why not? On the outside it may seem strange to try and launch a website when you are already 20 years into your career. I mean, it is not like I am bored, but here's the thing I have been glorifying the concept of being busy. In truth I was bored. I was bored because I wasn't following the right path. I am good at what I do but it isn't enough. So I have taken courage and strength from Eleanor and other women before me and I am taking the plunge.

Thank you for coming to my website. Whether you are here to read the sometimes quirky sililoquies of a slightly charming professional woman or you are here because you are looking for someone to educate, motivate, coach, speak etc. I appreciate you being here.

I will continue to share my thoughts through this site and would be honored to have you check it out. If you see anything you like then make sure to let me know.

This is just one more step towards living life in an exclamation point and YES Eleanor it is scary but I think it is the good kind of scary.

P.S. If you want to learn more about Eleanor in a fun way, check out the book "My Year with Eleanor" by Noelle Hancock. It has a lot of great info on Eleanor but from a modern approach of a woman just trying to find her way. It is a great read. Afterwards you will be looking to try something that scares you too.
